Perception of students of the radiology technology course about the importance of humanization in the performance of future professionals of radiological techniques

Humanization in the health context is closely related to the comprehensive approach to care, with emphasis on patient health care, autonomy and the promotion of interprofessional and interdisciplinary practices. Humanization in the radiology sector can encourage people to perform routine imaging exams and procedures. The Ministry of Education requires the inclusion of humanization concepts in the curricula of higher education courses, which has an impact on the training of radiology technologists. The objective of this work is to understand the perception of students on the Radiology Technologist course, at a university in the interior of Bahia, regarding the importance of humanization in the work of future professionals in radiological techniques. Field research is applied in nature and exploratory in nature with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Participants in this study include students from the Radiology Technologist course, from the first to the sixth semester, duly enrolled and attending the course. The collected data were organized in spreadsheets created in the Microsoft Excel® program and, after tabulation, analyzed using descriptive statistics. The project was approved in accordance with the Certificate of Presentation of Ethical Appreciation (CAAE) Nº 78970524.4.0000.5025, opinion Nº 6,770,651. With this, it was possible to verify that the first semester demonstrated a greater perception of the importance of humanization for their future professional training.
