Pharmaceutical care and prescription of phytotherapy (H. procumbens, C. longa, U. tomentosa e Z. officinale) in the clinical complications management related on Chikungunya
Abstract
Chikungunya is an acute disease associated with intense, including art phasesralgia, prevention by the Chikungunya virus, and can progress three in three: acute, subacute and chronic. In the chronic phase, it stands out as arthralgias, as it can persist for years. There is no individual antiviral therapy. The use of a complementary treatment with herbal medicine can help to control the symptoms of Chikungunya from the rational prescription of herbal medicines and pharmacotherapeutic follow-up. The general management of this research is verified through a series of cases, as the application of the pharmaceutical approach and the prescription of herbal medicines, can help in the treatment of clinical complications related to patients with chikungunya. This study was carried out using a descriptive, experimental and exploratory methodology, with a qualitative-quantitative approach to the clinical characteristics related to a series of cases of patients with Chikungunya. After application of herbal medicines, it was possible to observe the intensity values of the reduction and increase of muscle strength in patients. It was concluded to use a complementary herbal treatment together to improve the promotion of patients with reduced symptoms and motor changes to improve patients with symptoms and changes.
