Using social media as a methodology for dissemination of educational content in One Health
Eixo temático: Educação em Saúde Única: processos de ensino e aprendizagem
Abstract
One Health is the understanding that human, animal and environmental health are connected and dependent, however the concept of One Health is not widely known, because of that, a considerable part of the population does not have access to the information regarding the subject. With that in mind, the extension project in veterinary medicine, Educa Saúde Única of the State University of Londrina - UEL, set as its goal the production of teaching materials to be shared in social media. The population who consumed the most of the publications created was between the ages of 18 and 34 years old, and the juvenile and elderlies were the ones that had the least access to the teaching material. There is a need to create contents with simple and attractive language for the public with the least access to the teaching material. For adolescents and children, it is recommended the creation of interactive content with activities, while for the elderly group, the foundation of communities inside social media could increase the interaction of these people with the teaching material.
